Mindfulness


Mindfulness is a practice or act that involves being fully present and aware of our thoughts, feelings, body, and our environment without judgment.  It encourages us to pay attention to the present moment and accept it as it is, rather than getting caught up in daily worries or thoughts. 

 

Finding this sense of stillness and presence is a skill that we practice and over time is something that we can lean on to find spaciousness - more room for ourselves, the people we love and the things that matter in our lives.

BENEFITS OF A DAILY RITUAL


A consistent daily ritual or practice can help us be more present, find a sense of calm and push us to lean further into our goals, dreams and intentions.

 

Benefits of having a mindful daily ritual:

Fostering Discipline: Rituals create structure and discipline in our daily lives, helping us remain dedicated to our goals.

Cultivating Habits: Consistency transforms actions into habits, creating a grounded space that makes progress towards our goals feel more in flow.

Clarity: Taking time to tune into our thoughts and emotions each day allows us to be more present, leading to making aligned decisions that bring us closer to our intentions.

Maintaining Consistency: Success often hinges on persistent effort over time, and rituals help us uphold that consistency, even on low-motivation days.

Nurturing Presence: Daily rituals give us permission to spend time on ourselves, on being. It gives us the space to be fully present in our lives and the lives of others.

The Ritual

Calm & Connection

 

This mindful ritual has been created to guide you to a space of stillness and reflection. Giving you a greater capacity for yourself and others through calm and connection to your inner self.


• Create a sacred space, this looks different for everyone. Anywhere that you’ll be able to have some time and space to create your ritual.
• Use your cleansing tool to clear the space.
• Apply your aromatherapy oil. Find yourself some quiet space and time - apply to wrist pulse points, across the back of your neck, temples or to the soles of your feet. If you prefer you can apply it to the palm of your hands, rubbing them together to warm the oils then cup over your nose. Breathing deeply, allow these precious oils to guide you on your journey to grounding, calm and connection.
• Choose a crystal that you’d like to work with - this could be an intuitive choice or intentional.
• Turn on the soundscape audio track.
• Sit or lie down in a comfortable space.
• Holding your companion crystal, focus on your breath. Take a few minutes of slow breaths to anchor the energy.
• Take a deep inhalation through your nose.
• Hold your breath for a count of 5.
• Slowly release your breath by exhaling through your nose.
• Place one hand below your belly button, and notice how it rises with each inhale and falls with each exhale.
• Practice your deep breathing for at least 3 breaths.

• Shuffle your card deck and pull a card. Take some time to reflect on the card and its meaning.
• You may want to journal about the card and what comes up for you. If you don’t feel like journaling, take a mindful walk instead.
• Keep your crystals close as you go about your day or week. Use them as a reminder of the calm and stillness you felt in your ritual. Come back to them whenever you need a feeling of groundedness and peace.
